The cooling of living botanical material and shoots requires particular care: plants or parts of plants have an active metabolism and need oxygen. The metabolism is dependent on the temperature and decreases with the cold and the quality of preservation also depends on the relative humidity in the environment. This means that in an atmosphere cooled in an optimal way and in the absence of light the plants continue to grow very slowly and are maintained longer. For this purpose, we have optimized solutions that allow precise control of the thermo-hygrometric conditions in the cells for plant conservation, through special installations of humidification systems. This results in a high quality of conservation, a reduction to the minimum of the drying process and a containment of the risk of plant diseases.
