Once again, a project has been successfully implemented!

The South Tyrolean company Wörndle Interservice stands for first-class quality and absolute freshness of its rich assortment. Meat, fish, cheese and numerous gastronomic specialities must be stored and cooled at the optimum temperature. In order to be even more present on the Italian market, Wörndle Interservice planned to expand its operations.

In the new logistics centre of Wörndle Interservice in Castenedolo (Bresica), two ammonia groups and two CO2 groups from Frigotherm Ferrari were installed. The logistics centre has 10,400 m² of storage space, 4100 m² of which are cells in the 0°C area and 1700 m² in the deep-freeze area, which enable Wörndle Interservice to refrigerate a wide variety of foodstuffs at the optimum temperature.
For the greatest possible sustainability, the refrigeration system was developed with energy efficiency and the use of natural gases in mind.
The refrigeration system consists of two independent ammonia chillers, two CO2 compound systems and a glycol system.  A total cooling capacity of 1500 kW can be achieved. The evaporators are defrosted via heat recovery. Using our remote maintenance system, our technicians can access the control system and detect and solve any malfunctions.
